Home Textiles Sourcing Expo presents an innovative seminar program in partnership with Lenzing Innovation

Home Textiles Sourcing Expo (HTSE) announces an impressive list of exhibitors, up more than 10% from last year and including many first-time exhibitors from Canada, Hong Kong, Peru, Portugal, Turkey, and the United States. The event also includes many returning exhibitors from China, Egypt, India, Korea, Pakistan, and Spain. Exhibitors will present a broad range of home textiles from fabrics and components to finished products. The third Home Textiles Sourcing Expo will be held in conjunction with Texworld USA and the International Apparel Sourcing Show. Online registration provides complimentary admission to all three events.

Gallagher, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt North America, the show’s organizers. “This show brings the world of home textile resources to New York in a format that is incredibly efficient and informative for designers, manufacturers, and brands and retailers. Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is the only sourcing event in North America to focus solely on home fabrics and finished soft goods. The key home textile manufacturing regions will be well represented by the more than 145 exhibitors. This year’s exhibitors are primarily from China and India, critical countries for home fabrics and products sourcing. (See partial list below.) According to the most recent shipping reports from the U.S. Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA), India, Pakistan, and China make up nearly 80% of all imported cotton sheets, pillowcases, bedspreads, quilts, and towels.

The prominent showing of Chinese mills at Home Textiles Sourcing Expo demonstrates that even with the slow pick up of the U.S. economy, Chinese garment and home textile manufacturers still consider the U.S. as their most important target market. Most of the Chinese exhibitors are from key home textile industry clusters including Zhejiang Shaoxing, Shandong Qingdao, Jiangsu Changsu, and Wujiang Shengze. Because certain types of Chinese suppliers are located in the same area, they have the support necessary to react quickly to the demands of their clients. Mr. Zhang Tao of CCPIT TEX, HTSE’s Chinese show partner, commented, “Chinese manufacturers face continuing rising labor cost but remain competitive by producing quality products and providing reliable service."

Mr. Xu Yingxin, executive vice chairman of CCPIT TEX added, “The Sino-U.S. textile trade has reached new levels. In partnership with Messe Frankfurt, we are presenting these three international supply chain network events (Home Textiles Sourcing Expo, Texworld USA and the International Apparel Sourcing Show) to promote further cooperation between Chinese and American textile products companies.”

This year’s HTSE will also feature a larger Lenzing Pavilion in which home textile companies will display products made with TENCEL® and Lenzing Modal®. Lenzing will again sponsor the series of educational seminars open to all show attendees. Seminar topics include color and product trends, sustainability, textile industry regulations and trade agreements, and emerging sourcing markets.
